Aloe Vera

Aloe vera

Aloe Vera is a stemless succulent plant native to the Arabian Peninsula. Famous for the soothing, clear gel inside its thick, fleshy green leaves, it is both a highly decorative plant and a practical natural first-aid remedy for minor burns and sunburn. Extremely hardy and drought-tolerant, it thrives on minimal care.

Native Origin & Climate

Dry, arid regions of the Arabian Peninsula. Highly suited to sunny windowsills and dry gardens throughout Australia.

Expert Pruning Tip

To harvest the gel, slice off an older, outer leaf close to the base. Pruning is otherwise not needed except to remove dried flower stalks.
