Anthurium andraeanum
Anthurium Andraeanum (Laceleaf or Flamingo Flower) is a striking, evergreen tropical plant native to the warm rainforests of Colombia and Ecuador. Prized for its dark green, heart-shaped leaves and highly glossy, bright red heart-shaped spathes (flowers) with yellow spadices, it is a long-lasting, exotic bloomer that purifies indoor air.

Expert Pruning Tip
Cut yellowing leaves and spent flower stems near the base with sterile shears. Wipe leaves with water to keep the glossy sheen.

Intermediate. Requires bright light and consistent humidity to produce flowers. Susceptible to root rot if soil is compacted.
Bright, indirect light. Bright light is essential for continuous blooming. Protect from direct mid-day sun, which burns leaves.
Moderate. Water thoroughly when the top 3-4cm of potting mix is dry. Prefers consistent dampness without standing water.
Very coarse, aerated orchid-like soil. Mix 50% premium indoor soil with 30% orchid bark and 20% perlite to ensure clean aeration.
