Aphelandra squarrosa, commonly known as the zebra plant, is a popular Brazilian rainforest native. It is widely grown for its striking foliage, featuring large, glossy dark green leaves with bold, contrasting white veins. In late summer, it produces bright yellow, cone-like flower bracts that last for several weeks.
